The National Security Minister will have to wait until pigs are seen flying before he can ever get to the bottom of which policeman tipped off the criminals at Chaguanas. It is obvious that the police are working in tandem with the big boys of crime and corruption here, acting as protectors to the masterminds of corruption and crime on this island.
We only have to refer to the non-results of cases such as the investigation into Jack Warner's affairs, the Dana Seetahal murder, the big cocaine bust and several other announced probes and investigations which have all been swept under the carpet because of the involvement of leading established criminals.
Moreover, we cannot rule out the involvement of an obvious corrupt judiciary in respect of serious crime here. The finger of suspicion points directly at this aspect of our justice system, and is reflected by the fact that despite the involvement of many citizens of status' involvement in corruption none is behind bars. The police and the judiciary seem to be only interested in arresting, charging and jailing the ordinary citizen in order to protect the elite.
Those in the corridors of power must be aware of what is really going on here, and must stop trying to pull the wool over the eyes of our citizens.
