Dr Martin Luther King did not have a plan, he had a dream, and people all over the United States turned up in Washington DC to hear his now famous speech, and perhaps that is what we as a developing nation need to establish–a dream for T&T.
For example, can we envision our two major party leaders getting together on the day after elections, to congratulate each other on their respective campaigns? Can we expect whoever loses to commit to assisting the new government in keeping T&T on course to becoming a First World nation?
My own dream is that, within the precincts of every community, there will be a quiet spot, where citizens can slow down and have time to commune with nature and among themselves, growing daily more mature and demonstrating care and goodwill to all without fear of attack from any "sick" person.
As a dream this seems so attainable and yet all it requires is the will to attain it–no government grants, no sponsorship–just each and everyone committing to peace and harmony.
