Quite recently Dr Keith Rowley, in an address related to the launch of his party's manifesto, advised his followers on election day to "go to the polls and ram your hand in the ink up to your elbow and vote them out."
This statement raises more than a few questions (and eyebrows) of interest to the discerning public. Among them are the following:
2 How much ink does the EBC allocate to each polling station?
2 How much of it would be required to cover the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow of each of Rowley's sycophants?
2 How long will this voting process take?
2 Will it become necessary to extend the allocated polling period?
2 Will all electors be afforded the opportunity to cast their ballots?
These are just a few of the issues which will flow from Rowley's advice. One is also left to wonder as to the mindset of the individual from whom this advice flows. Is this an individual in whom we can rely to guide the destiny of our country over the next five years?
I think not.
