Firstly, I would like to commend all traffic wardens for the excellent work they are doing, especially the ones posted outside the Petrotrin entrance in Gasparillo. I cannot begin to explain the enormous difference they are making.
Before the wardens, exiting Petrotrin's gate, driving under the bridge and attempting to turn right to get back on the highway was a daily nightmare.
Choosing to stay on the correct lane and obey traffic laws, (which I did) was very stressful, as many motorists continued to break the line of traffic in an attempt to turn right onto the highway, increasing the risk of a collision. Needless to say, there was also a traffic jam caused by motorists not waiting their turn. When the traffic warden system was implemented, everyone had to obey traffic rules and the daily morning stress magically disappeared.
Traffic flowed freely and you no longer had to "fight to turn right."
Sad to say, I have often wondered why people have to be forced into obeying traffic laws. With that being said, having traffic wardens was a brilliant idea that was actually implemented properly and one that continues to work. It was just one of those visible changes that actually improved your quality of life!
On that note, I do hope that, despite changes that will inevitably come, the traffic warden system remains as it is, if not improved.
It was surely an answer to my prayer and I am sure the prayer of many other motorists.
