Last Saturday, I was at my mother's home in Barataria. It was a hot and humid afternoon when the electricity supply was interrupted around 1.50 pm.
I waited anxiously for a few minutes but still no current. So I called T&TEC Trouble Report Service and the operator Mr Karlon Frank answered politely and professionally. I reported that no explosion was heard in the area and trusted that the service could be restored expeditiously as the electricity supply was critical to the well-being of my 80-year-old mother and other senior citizens in the area.
It appeared that only a few houses nearby were affected by a dysfunctional pole in front of my mother's house.
Mr Frank assured me that the emergency crew would arrive within 30 minutes. Within 15 to 20 minutes, a crew, engineered by foreman Anton McLean, restored the service. Kudos must be extended also to Mr McLean's support team, namely Mssrs Fournillier, Ammon and Homeward.
This was indeed a 'tipping point' experience that made a huge difference!
While it can be easily stated that this is 'what we expect' from T&TEC and other government services, I thought that Crew E surpassed the usual expectations.
Congrats to the team and keep up the good work!
