It is surprising that the head of the Police Service Social and Welfare Association should be involved in deciding the suitability of a local firm to pronounce on a choice for Commissioner of Police and apply for consideration for this position.
Even if this officer is in possession of a PhD, would not his present post be seen as a conflict of interest? How could he be opining on which local entity is "good enough" for selecting him? This gentleman should resign and be away from the association for several months should he wish to present an application. He told himself that he would make an excellent Commissioner?
