It is not necessary for me to reiterate the origin and the history of the area–Trincity–which , readers will be aware I have dubbed "The Jewel of the East".
However, while as planned, the city was to be the home of pursuits which one would expect to find in any developmental activity of the type contemplated–housing, industrial\ commercial and even agricultural–I cannot recall that provision was made in the planning of the "city", for disposal of the dead. Indeed, this should not have been surprising given the fact that, then, there would have been no shortage of traditional burial facilities in the surrounding areas.
Today, Trincity boasts what is no doubt, the most modern and up-to-date of such facilities in the form of the Belgrove Funeral Home and Crematorium as well as its adjoining cryptic Memorial Park, the most recent and perhaps famous occupant of this last-mentioned of which being our late former prime minister, Patrick Augustus Mervyn Manning.
We the residents of Trincity welcome Mr Manning as a permanent resident among us and we are confident that here he will rest in peace.
