Calling EMA a waste of time
I read in the papers on Saturday that Plastikeep is being shut down due to lack of funds from the Green Fund and/or the Government.
This means that another 120 tons of plastic will end up in the dumps or the sea. The minister says that Plastikeep will not work with the EMA and have not met their goals. I do not know the details but one thing I know is that the EMA, if they have goals, have not even come close to meeting theirs.
I wrote the EMA two letters with photos showing the burning of the Maraval hills and the blasting of music from a DJ. Music that echoes for miles. I got one phone call asking for directions even though my letters and photos were very explicit as to the location.
Guess what. Nothing has changed and you can be sure that come the dry season, the burning will restart and the EMA will do what they do best—nothing, nothing and nothing.
