Fight Windies, fight!
One thing is clear! It’s going to be a full scale war as WI face New Zealand in this Test series. And so far the hosts are running riot over WI boys. It is now that WI shall see whether they are boys or men.
WI now have to fight as if our lives depended on it, to now save or win this first Test, and WI are still shell shocked. But it is at times like these WI will find out who are boys and who are men, and who are boys who are becoming men in the Test team.
WI need somebody to put his hand up and lead this team. They must believe that anything New Zealand can do, WI can do better! Hats off to the selectors though, for playing both Sunil Ambris and Shimron Hetmyer. Both deserve their shot at glory although both have so far failed.
After all, everybody in cricket knows that Jermaine Blackwood can’t play spin to save his life at present.
However, I am still scratching my head over how Miguel Cummings got selected ahead of the genius that is Alzarri Joseph. If WI manager Stuart Law does not gather his troops, rebuild their battered morale and begin to fight back now, this tour is going to be over before it has started—in a very disastrous manner for the Caribbean Test team.
What is worse is that the hosts would clearly be able to justifiably say that WI really deserve only two Tests against them, not three.
And that would be a terrible waste of the sterling reputation Jason Holder and WI boys have been building for themselves as fighters!
