West Indies cricket is at a juncture where its experienced players have approached the end of their tenure. A new crop of players no doubt will be dominating the team. And this is where we would be recycling the same old policy. But with the current structure of regional competitions from which players are chosen, there seems to be limited opportunities for selectors. An invitational team from England is good, but it's not enough to provide that feel that cricketers need, nor is there enough cricket played among the islands.
