You report Dr Emily Dick-Forde (Guardian, May 11) as saying that since the time of the Uff Commission she “felt the origin and connections of TTTI (the Trinidad and Tobago Transparency Institute) must be exposed for public scrutiny” and that TTTI’s “links to the international body must be...

I was pleasantly surprised to see Anil Roberts attend a National Council meeting of the COP, after being in hibernation for 12 months. What I did not expect to see was a security detachment for him larger than what is enjoyed by the Prime Minister.

I am a Trinidadian currently residing in New York. Over the past 20 years, as an avid fan of our unique cultural heritage, I have been travelling home during the Carnival season.

I was astonished when, on switching on the television on Saturday night to view the Miss Universe T&T show, I noticed Gabrielle Walcott among the contestants.

The horrendous noise that emanated from the Queen’s Park Oval (at the western end) was again a noise abomination.

I wish to bring to the attention of Austin Jack Warner, Minister of Works and Transport (and everything else), the need for an overpass leading from PriceSmart over the Mucurapo Foreshore to the National Stadium side. The faster this is erected, the better.

Open letter to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Surujrattan Rambachan:

Mary, I am still in shock and dismay at what has transpired over the last few days. It is still very hard to swallow and thoroughly digest what has happened. If there were five people cut from the finest cloth of morality and integrity, you would be among the first three.
