I remember while residing in To-bago in 2003—2004, there was a “pothole truck”—repair unit. If memory serves me right it was made in Germany. It was a large vehicle that housed everything needed to carry out pothole repairs. I have not seen this truck since 2004.

Panyard judging and the Pano-rama semi-finals generated tre-mendous interest in the steelband fraternity. Steelbands should use that momentum especially during the two weeks before the finals to stage various panyard activities day and/or night.

It is notable that the Prime Minister has taken a cultural contingent to London to celebrate Commonwealth Week and accompanying her is the Minister of Arts and Multiculturalism. It is a paradox that the minister is not accompanied by a multicultural contingent.

For far too long drivers of “P” vehicles five years old and over have flouted the inspection law and failed to have their vehicles Inspected.

The police are reluctant to enforce the law because of long delays and time consumed in court.

Today our national dish of shark and bake is now imported Guyan-ese cat fish and bake. Shark populations have been decimated. Other countries are responding, and so too can we. FFOS calls on the Government to take a position on this national crisis which can be reversed.
