Retiree David Deane hosted his 60th birthday party at his Blue Range, Diego Martin home on December 26. Joining in the celebrations were his wife Debra Deane, relatives including businessman Leslie Ayoung, calypsonian Edwin Ayoung (Crazy) and relatives 85-year-old Joyce Aming and Malcolm Ayoung, 87.
Joyce Aming is the widow of the last masman Neville Aming.
Everyone enjoyed paella and Christmas fare including homemade hops. During the formalities Leslie Ayoung said the Deanes' marriage was the first major family event he attended after returning from studying in England. He described Deane as his "favourite drinking partner." Everyone wished Deane continued health and success. To top it off, they danced to a slew of socaparang hits from Ayoung including Tito Lara, Yvonne and Parangsoca, popularly known as Maria. As a lagniappe, Ayoung threw in Percy for the family.
