They evaluated various depots like the Suriname Jetty, The Demerara Depot, and Garden Reach Deport and land sites in Bhowanipore and Alipore that used to house the labourers before shipment. Construction work on the museum is projected to commence in mid-2011, and will take approximately three years to complete.
