Her daughter Yvonne recalled times when her mother would go through the streets of Frederick Settlement, where the family resided, dancing and singing with her niece and nephew while villagers gave her money.
The centenarian, whose birthday was actually on December 24, is well known for the pone and other treats that she sold at the Caroni Presbyterian School and to families in the village. The matriarch of five generations attributes her long life to prayer and her belief in God.
