Caesar’s Army set to revolutionise J’Ouvert

Caesar’s Army is a regional promotional entity conceptualised under the umbrella of the Julius Caesar Entertainment Company (JCEC) and it has come up with some of the zaniest and novel ideas for themed events in the past few years. An event management company based in Trinidad and Tobago, JCEC was founded by Jules Sobion in the year 2002, comprising mainly a group of revolutionaries who share the common belief that change lies within us.
Sobion explained this week: “Caesar’s Army is essentially a movement towards regional integration by using entertainment as the catalyst of that change. In order to bring about this change, which we have termed ‘the Revolution’, Caesar’s Army is taking advantage of Carnival as an instrument to revolutionise the sector. “Carnival, being one of Caesar’s Army mechanisms, is a very prominent characteristic of the Caribbean region and represents a very strong regional togetherness due to links with Caribbean counterparts, mainly, Barbados and Jamaica.”
Caesar’s Army, under the foundation and experience of the JCEC, believes that it can bring about this change in the entertainment industry by creatively fusing Caribbean cultures and promoting regional integration during Caribbean festivals, carnivals and sports. It is committed to utilising trendy and “outside of the box” concepts as well as innovative means to bring people of the Caribbean islands even closer together. Among the highly successful events under Caesar’s Army umbrella have been In De Paint Dance—Independence Day Beach J’Ouvert, Mai Tai—Hawaiian-themed cooler party, and signal events within Barbados Cropover and Jamaica Carnival.
For C2K11, Caesar’s Army has come up with another avant-garde event—AM Bush. Sobion explains that A M Bush is one of Caesar’s Army new projects to revolutionise J’Ouvert, which is usually held on Carnival Monday morning. The name, AM Bush, means AM (morning) and Bush meaning camouflage. It is a revolutionary event and alternative J’Ouvert concept will be held in the morning, starting at three o’clock in Chaguaramas, and going until 10 am. AM BUSH will be a pre-party and on-the-road drinks inclusive event.
