In re­cent times, we have be­come in­creas­ing­ly aware of the teach­ings of West­ern and East­ern so­ci­ety re­gard­ing var­i­ous modal­i­ties of bi­o­log­i­cal and psy­cho­log­i­cal ap­proach­es to health care and heal­ing. How­ev­er, mankind seems to be los­ing the war against phys­i­cal and men­tal dis­eases. Can there be spir­i­tu­al roots to dis­ease? Does God give guar­an­tees of health and heal­ing? Is there a con­nec­tion be­tween re­la­tion­ships and health? All these ques­tions and more will be ad­dressed at two week­ends of con­fer­ence, June 16 to 18 and June 23 to 24, at the Wood­brook Pen­te­costal Church this month.

Pas­tor Hen­ry Wright of Be In Health Glob­al, Thomas­ton, Geor­gia, USA, au­thor of the in­ter­na­tion­al best­seller, A More Ex­cel­lent Way, will be the speak­er. Be in Health is an in­ter­na­tion­al or­gan­i­sa­tion teach­ing prin­ci­ples that bring heal­ing of re­la­tion­ships and health, as well as dis­ease pre­ven­tion. The or­gan­i­sa­tion of­fers teach­ings to un­rav­el the mys­ter­ies of dis­ease and re­veal path­ways to health and whole­ness. These teach­ings are based on scrip­tur­al in­sights and what is ob­serv­able in the psy­chi­atric and med­ical sci­ences.

Ac­cord­ing to Pas­tor Wright, the roots be­hind many dis­eases are of­ten spir­i­tu­al and are linked to how we think and feel. Fear, stress, guilt, and re­jec­tion are just a few ex­am­ples that are in­clud­ed in the teach­ing.
