With the ex­cite­ment just a few days away, San Fer­nan­do is fever pitch and ready for Fash­ion Week San Fer­nan­do's sixth edi­tion ti­tled Pas­sion for Fash­ion.The city of San Fer­nan­do is rolling out its red car­pet to wel­come es­tab­lished T&T fash­ion icons, along with young and emerg­ing de­sign­ers, to cli­max over a three-day pe­ri­od-June 24-26.Fash­ion lovers and pa­trons will have the op­por­tu­ni­ty to wit­ness de­sign­er Meil­ing's new col­lec­tion, Grande Riv­iere, first time show­ing any­where in T&T.This will con­tin­ue with more sea­soned pro­fes­sion­als such as Heather Jones, Pe­ter Elias, Saleem Samuel, Anya Ay­oung Chee, Rod­ney Alexan­der, Caribbean Acad­e­my of Fash­ion and De­sign, Deron Attzs De­signs and De­sign­er Look. Sis­ter isle To­ba­go will al­so show­case some of its top de­sign­ers.

The jour­ney will then con­tin­ue to South Amer­i­ca to Cana­da for Pas­sion Fruit De­signs, then to Guyana for Mir­a­cle Hands, Haiti for David An­dre, and then to the Ba­hamas.San Fer­nan­do Fash­ion Week will al­so wel­come in­ter­na­tion­al fame fash­ion pho­tog­ra­ph­er, Donn Thomp­son, who has a wealth of ac­cred­i­ta­tion to his name with work done for Essence Up­scale, Vogue, Black En­ter­prise, Jet, Sis­ter to Sis­ter, Pro­files 98 and many oth­ers.Screen­ing and cast­ing in the up­com­ing days for the next face and cov­er of the San Fer­nan­do Fash­ion Week mag­a­zine. This screen­ing will be open to both males and fe­males, as Thomp­son aims to present a bal­anced Caribbean es­thet­ic of the mul­ti­cul­tur­al and faceted is­lands of T&T.A talk shop/work­shop will be held on June 25 at Roy­al­ty Plaza, Cof­fee Street, San Fer­nan­do, from 7 pm to 9 pm. All cut­ters, stitch­ers, jew­el­ry mak­ers, crafts­men and me­dia will have the op­por­tu­ni­ty to meet and in­ter­act with some of the for­eign de­sign­ers, re­tail­ers, and dis­trib­u­tors and will be privy to a mi­ni view­ing of their col­lec­tions.On June 26, the red car­pet rolls out from 6 pm for the gala run­way show­ing at Paria Suites and Con­fer­ence Cen­tre, La Ro­maine.
