Pan Trinbago premiered The After Work Pan Lime on June 24, at The Grand Stand Courtyard, Queen's Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain.The pilot of the weekly concerts featured past winners of Pan in the 21st Century and Pan Down Memory Lane competitions, and attracted a healthy turnout of pan lovers.Bands in the spotlight included Brazil RX4, St James Tripolians, Carib Woodbrook Playboyz, San Juan East Side Symphony, NLCB Fonclaire, Courts Sound Specialists of Laventille and TCL Group Skiffle Bunch.The After Work Pan Lime continues tomorrow at 6 pm, and listed to perform are PCS Silver Stars, bpTT Renegades, San Juan All Stars, Petrotrin Hatters, Gonzales Sheikers and La Creole Pan Groove.The executive of Pan Trinbago, led by president Keith Diaz, must be lauded for its attempts at keeping the national instrument relevant and in the limelight on T&T's diversified cultural landscape.Last weekend, the organisation travelled to Tobago to stage its Pan in De Countryside in Parlatuvier. Among the popular bands performing were San City, Westside Symphony, T&TEC East Side Symphony, Arima Golden Symphony, RBC Royal Bank Redemption Soundsetters and Katzenjammers. (PRB)
