Pan Trin­ba­go pre­miered The Af­ter Work Pan Lime on June 24, at The Grand Stand Court­yard, Queen's Park Sa­van­nah, Port-of-Spain.The pi­lot of the week­ly con­certs fea­tured past win­ners of Pan in the 21st Cen­tu­ry and Pan Down Mem­o­ry Lane com­pe­ti­tions, and at­tract­ed a healthy turnout of pan lovers.Bands in the spot­light in­clud­ed Brazil RX4, St James Tripo­lians, Carib Wood­brook Play­boyz, San Juan East Side Sym­pho­ny, NL­CB Fon­claire, Courts Sound Spe­cial­ists of Laven­tille and TCL Group Skif­fle Bunch.The Af­ter Work Pan Lime con­tin­ues to­mor­row at 6 pm, and list­ed to per­form are PCS Sil­ver Stars, bpTT Rene­gades, San Juan All Stars, Petrotrin Hat­ters, Gon­za­les Sheik­ers and La Cre­ole Pan Groove.The ex­ec­u­tive of Pan Trin­ba­go, led by pres­i­dent Kei­th Di­az, must be laud­ed for its at­tempts at keep­ing the na­tion­al in­stru­ment rel­e­vant and in the lime­light on T&T's di­ver­si­fied cul­tur­al land­scape.Last week­end, the or­gan­i­sa­tion trav­elled to To­ba­go to stage its Pan in De Coun­try­side in Par­latu­vi­er. Among the pop­u­lar bands per­form­ing were San City, West­side Sym­pho­ny, T&TEC East Side Sym­pho­ny, Ari­ma Gold­en Sym­pho­ny, RBC Roy­al Bank Re­demp­tion Sound­set­ters and Katzen­jam­mers.
