Meiling takes Train to San Fernando
Meiling’s new collection, to be launched tomorrow at the Carlton Savannah, Cascade, at 7.30 pm, is entitled Last Train to San Fernando and is inspired through Johnny Duncan’s 1957 song with the theme of travel—as always with Meiling’s modern twist.
It is with a muted palette, natural fabrics and notable themes like madras and checkered weaves in cotton and linen, that Meiling explores elegant options for comfortable travel, and with rich brocades and diaphanous silk chiffon the romance of discovering new places.
Meiling’s creative team includes: Anthony Reid—menswear designer; Karina Jeffrey—stylist; Wendell Manwarren—sound design; Charisse Parsons—set design; Riddums Productions; Anthony Medina—hair; and, Sandra Hordatt—make-up. The sponsors of this event are Revlon, Rusk, Got Shoooz and Angostura.
