Arrive Alive to drive road safety home with family day, treasure hunt

Almost daily we are faced with images of horrendous road traffic collisions and fatalities in Trinidad & Tobago, and sadly most of these are preventable. Road collisions are a global crisis and the UN estimates that 1.3 million people die every year around the world from road traffic crashes. Almost 100 persons have already lost their lives on our Nation’s roadways for 2011.

In recognition of the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety, Arrive Alive in conjunction with Motorsports Association of Trinidad and Tobago (MATT) will be hosting the Fun Family Photo Safari & Treasure Hunt throughout Trinidad on July 24. This event is an opportunity to communicate to drivers and the general public the importance of safe behaviour on the road.
