Al­most dai­ly we are faced with im­ages of hor­ren­dous road traf­fic col­li­sions and fa­tal­i­ties in Trinidad & To­ba­go, and sad­ly most of these are pre­ventable. Road col­li­sions are a glob­al cri­sis and the UN es­ti­mates that 1.3 mil­lion peo­ple die every year around the world from road traf­fic crash­es. Al­most 100 per­sons have al­ready lost their lives on our Na­tion's road­ways for 2011.

In recog­ni­tion of the Unit­ed Na­tions Decade of Ac­tion for Road Safe­ty, Ar­rive Alive in con­junc­tion with Mo­tor­sports As­so­ci­a­tion of Trinidad and To­ba­go (MATT) will be host­ing the Fun Fam­i­ly Pho­to Sa­fari & Trea­sure Hunt through­out Trinidad on Ju­ly 24. This event is an op­por­tu­ni­ty to com­mu­ni­cate to dri­vers and the gen­er­al pub­lic the im­por­tance of safe be­hav­iour on the road.
