Miracle Church, located on Rochard Douglas Road in Barrackpore, celebrated its 14th anniversary on July 10. In June 1997, visionary, Reverend Phillip Samlalsingh, obeyed the call of God to fulfill the great commission. Samlalsingh is the founder and president of Trinidad and Tobago Christian Outreach Center (International) (TTCOC) and the senior pastor of Miracle Church. His ministry has taken him to US, Canada, Colombia, Europe and India and his great passion for the lost has resulted in several significant achievements throughout the years. Samlalsingh is also an accomplished author of several best-selling books, including Miracles: Revelations of His Will, Daily Dose: Prescription for Destiny, Deliverance: The Key to Unlock Destiny's Door, as well as his latest book, 7 Sides of the Cross.
At the anniversary service, president and founder of the Slow Gospel Music Ministries, Minister Lester Sooklal was the honorary guest speaker. His delivery of the theme, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.(Philippians 3:14), was well received. Minister Kelvin Corbett and Joshua Harripaul enhanced the worship with renditions on the steelpan, while Samlalsingh's daughter, Rachael Balroop, thrilled the congregation with her song Days of Elijah. Reuben Samlalsingh displayed video clips of the church's accomplishments, as well as the various ministries for the past 14 years. Samlalsingh was moved to tears as Reverend Cheryl Dunn, an associate minister of the international branch of TTCOC in Canada; Roxanne Sheridan, music minister of Canada; and Pastor Prasad of the orphanage in India brought warm greetings and congratulations.
