The re­cent re­union din­ner and dance host­ed by South East Port-of-Spain Sec­ondary School Alum­ni As­so­ci­a­tion saw alum­ni trav­el­ling from abroad specif­i­cal­ly to at­tend the event. The venue was Re­cep­tion Hall of the Cruise Ship Com­plex on Dock Road in Port-of-Spain, and sev­er­al alum­ni, along with cur­rent serv­ing prin­ci­pal Pa­tri­cia Charles, were in at­ten­dance.

Among the many past mem­bers of staff who turned up in sup­port of the as­so­ci­a­tion were for­mer prin­ci­pals, who were pre­sent­ed with plaques by the Class of 1976. Dr Michael Al­leyne, the first prin­ci­pal of the school, was pre­sent­ed with a plaque in recog­ni­tion as the first hon­orary mem­ber of the Alum­ni As­so­ci­a­tion.

The theme for the event, Mem­o­ries of the Way We Were, was se­lect­ed by the Class of 1976, who were high­light­ed this year. It is the in­ten­tion of the as­so­ci­a­tion to recog­nise a dif­fer­ent year group each year.

The as­so­ci­a­tion is en­gaged in an on­go­ing mem­ber­ship dri­ve and all past pupils are in­vit­ed to reg­is­ter.
