Source of Strength (SOS) is on the move again with another project on September 30. Entitled Qanah-Celebrating the Exchange, the event comes off at 6.30 pm at Faith Centre on Prince Of Wales Street, San Fernando.Having obtained local and international exposure in places like the Caribbean, Canada and Australia, the group, just shy of its second birthday, celebrated with friends, family and supporters. SOS was founded January 2010 with the aim of reaching the youth of T&T through song.Qanah by definition means to get, acquire, create, buy, or possess, and leaders Gary McSween and Dwayne Thomas described the time as "celebrating the fact that God has given us the power to create a movement that exhibits true power and anointing through praise and worship."It will be a time for praise and worship unto God, and the band not only seeks to conduct ministry in music, but seeks to impart to others and give back to the community charitably. As a result it has partnered with Is There Not A Cause (ITNAC), a foundation lead by Avonelle Hector Joseph for the rehabilitation of communities and lives devastated by injustices due to crime and havoc caused by natural disasters. Part proceeds of Qanah will go to all projects the team undertakes.Patrons can look forward to a vibrant cast such as Nisa Nora, Gate's Praise of First Church of The Open Bible, and brothers Koen and Kerron Elisha Duncan.Tickets cost $30 and are available at Maranatha Book Store and Faith Centre San Fernando, and Faith Assembly in Arouca. For more information visit the band's social Web site, www. sosincmusic.com
