The pageant for grand­moth­ers, held at Cas­ca­dia Ho­tel, St Ann's, gave del­e­gates the op­por­tu­ni­ty to show­case their tal­ents in the world of beau­ty and to prove to the world that age is just a num­ber.The ten grand­moth­ers were judged on their tal­ents, ded­i­ca­tion, mar­ket­ing skills, ca­reer wear, uni­form wear, evening gown and in­di­vid­ual ques­tion.In the end, Alex­is walked away with the ti­tle, $10,000 and a tro­phy for Best Smile.Crowd favourite Can­dice Aching was ad­judged sec­ond by a sin­gle point, and copped $7,000 and tro­phies for Miss In­tel­li­gence, Miss Con­ge­nial­i­ty and Best Ca­reer Wear.Sec­ond run­ner-up Lystra Nurse took home $4,000 and tro­phies for Best Tal­ent and Best In­tro­duc­to­ry Speech.
