The Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment for Oropouche West and Min­is­ter in the Min­istry of Works and In­fra­struc­ture, Sta­cy Roop­nar­ine, host­ed her an­nu­al Moth­er's Day cel­e­bra­tion at the Ram­per­sads' Ranch in San Fran­cique on May 12. Min­is­ter Roop­nar­ine shared a lun­cheon with the moth­ers of her con­stituen­cy and ex­pressed her grat­i­tude and ap­pre­ci­a­tion for all moth­ers. She said moth­ers played an in­stru­men­tal role in so­ci­ety with the de­vel­op­ment of their chil­dren, and should be ho­n­oured every day.

She gave thanks to her own moth­er and grand­moth­er who were re­spon­si­ble for her suc­cess and who con­tin­ued to sup­port her. Roop­nar­ine al­so took the time to ac­knowl­edge the con­tri­bu­tions made by the moth­ers of her con­stituen­cy and who con­tin­ue to be the back­bone of sup­port in Oropouche West. Al­so in at­ten­dance were chair­man of Pe­nal/Debe Re­gion­al Cor­po­ra­tion Prem­c­hand Sookoo; chair­man of Siparia Re­gion­al Cor­po­ra­tion Leo Dood­nath; coun­cil­lors Shan­ty Boodram, Ra­jwan­tee Bul­lock, Hy­acinth Ram­per­sads­ingh and Skafte Awardy.
