Member of Parliament for Diego Martin West Dr Keith Rowley, in collaboration with the Forum of Indian Nationals In Trinidad and Tobago (FINTT) hosted a health camp at the Carenage Boys' Government Primary School on May 20.
A release from the office of the Opposition Leader said volunteers and community activists from the area worked with 100 FINTT volunteers, which comprised 50 doctors, 12 nurses, three pharmacists, three physiotherapists, one lab technician and other volunteers from the University of the West Indies (UWI) and the private sector. The team did consultations, delivered lectures and literature on general health education such as diabetes, hypertension, dental hygiene, mental health, physiotherapy, ECGs, ultrasounds, lung function tests, blood sugar testing, blood pressure checks, urine and HIV testing. Approximately 500 people were in attendance.
