Yu­ma, the reign­ing cham­pi­on of the char­i­ty Vic­to­ry Games, will seek to de­fend its ti­tle on Sun­day from 11 oth­er teams, in­clud­ing pre­vi­ous win­ners Tribe and Is­land Peo­ple. The event takes place at the Po­lice Bar­racks Grounds, Long Cir­cu­lar Road, St James from 8.00 am. The Vic­to­ry Games is a project of the Friends of Vic­to­ry Foun­da­tion (FoVF), the brain­child of Triniscene.com's man­ag­ing di­rec­tor, Casey Cum­ber­batch, and has been ad­vo­cat­ing for young peo­ple and cor­po­rate com­mu­ni­ties to give of their time and en­er­gy to the ben­e­fit of those in less for­tu­nate cir­cum­stances.

This year will mark the fifth edi­tion of Vic­to­ry Games, where teams from var­i­ous cor­po­rate en­ter­pris­es par­tic­i­pate in spe­cial­ly de­signed nov­el­ty events to try to win $25,000 for the lo­cal char­i­ty the team ran­dom­ly se­lect­ed at the games' launch in May. Each par­tic­i­pat­ing team is re­quired to main­tain a re­la­tion­ship with the char­i­ty, with which it was paired for the du­ra­tion of one year. Rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the 12 teams ran­dom­ly se­lect­ed char­i­ties, team names and con­cepts and colours. This year's theme is Rock­stars.
