The or­gan­is­ing com­mit­tee of this year's edi­tion of Din­ing with the Saints is promis­ing pa­trons a "cor­nu­copia of food, bev­er­ages and mu­sic." The culi­nary ex­trav­a­gan­za, host­ed an­nu­al­ly by the St Mary's Col­lege Past Stu­dents' Union, is in its 13th year and comes off on June 30 at the school on Fred­er­ick Street, Port-of-Spain. A re­lease from the com­mit­tee said the $300 ad­mis­sion tick­et en­ti­tles pa­trons to a full din­ner, with a choice of en­trees. CIC past stu­dents from the bank­ing com­mu­ni­ty will be out in full force to show off their culi­nary skills. Among them will be Richard Young, CEO of Sco­tia­bank, lead­ing Ray­mond Smith, Gilbert Sankar and Ker­ry Fred­er­ick. Re­pub­lic Bank's team will be led by deputy CEO Nigel Bap­tiste and in­cludes Der­win How­ell and Ian De Souza.

Michael Man­soor, CEO of CIBC First Caribbean Bank, will fly in from Bar­ba­dos for the event. Suresh Sookoo, RBC Roy­al Bank's CEO for the Caribbean, will make his de­but, lead­ing David Hack­ett, Patrick Kel­ly, Ansel How­ell and Gre­go­ry Weekes. John Pe­ter (JP) Clarke will be the lone rep­re­sen­ta­tive from ANSA Mer­chant Bank. The team from the po­lit­i­cal fra­ter­ni­ty will in­clude Food Pro­duc­tion Min­is­ter Vas­ant Bharath, Diego Mar­tin North East MP Colm Im­bert, Sen­a­tor Ter­rence Deyals­ingh and for­mer MPs Mar­i­ano Browne, Ken Butch­er and Au­gus­tus Ram­rek­ers­ingh. The pan fra­ter­ni­ty will be well rep­re­sent­ed, with Ainsworth Mo­hammed co-or­di­nat­ing his team, Patrick Arnold, Pan Trin­ba­go's Ka­iron Ser­rette, Nicky In­niss and Law­ford Duprey. Chefs from the busi­ness com­mu­ni­ty will in­clude Gre­go­ry Aboud, Steve San­tos and An­dre Bap­tiste.

CIC past and present prin­ci­pals, Frs An­ton Dick and Ron Mendes, re­spec­tive­ly, will head the team of CIC teacher/chefs.

Guest chefs from oth­er sec­ondary schools will al­so par­tic­i­pate. They will rep­re­sent QRC, Fa­ti­ma Col­lege, Bel­mont In­ter­me­di­ate, Holy Name Con­vent and St Joseph's Con­vent, Port-of-Spain. En­ter­tain­ment will be pro­vid­ed by pi­anist Frankie Cal­len­der, ac­com­pa­nied by vo­cal­ist Mar­gari­ta; Xavier Strings; 3Canal and Re­pub­lic Bank Ex­o­dus Steel Or­ches­tra. Se­cure park­ing will be pro­vid­ed at a num­ber of car parks close to the col­lege, in­clud­ing At­lantic En­er­gy at up­per Pem­broke Street, JD Sel­l­i­er's at up­per Aber­crom­by Street, and Sco­tia­bank at the cor­ner of Park and Pem­broke streets. There will be a free shut­tle ser­vice to and from these car parks.
