Project Override is a new alternative rock band ready to showcase its talent to T&T. But its purpose is not only to entertain. Its members want to give back to their communities to make T&T a better place. On July 7 and 8 Project Override volunteered their musical talents to two organisations at fund-raising events. On July 7 the band joined the Gyaan Deepak Mandir of Swaha International aboard the Treasure Queen for the organisation’s first cooler cruise. “The experience was fulfilling, knowing that we can network with other performers and still be able to give back to the temple that is in need of physical repairs,” said lead guitarist Jeremy Anil Mangalsingh. “The audience really appreciated our contemporary love songs. What more can we ask for as performers?” added vocalist Joshua Boodram. On July 8 the band volunteered its musical skills to St Joseph Convent, St Joseph, for the Fearless concert hosted by the school’s Glee Club.  Proceeds from the event goes toward building a new chemistry lab and refurbishing the school’s bathroom facilities.
