The blink/bmo­bile Olympic Com­mu­ni­ty Clash se­ries which kicked off on Ju­ly 8 at Ir­win Park, Siparia, where, along with celebri­ty sport and me­dia guests, Siparia's fittest, fastest and most flam­boy­ant, vied for cash and tech prizes and the brag­ging rights of be­ing crowned Siparia's blink/bmo­bile Olympic Clash Cham­pi­ons. They para­chut­ed, pulled, tun­nelled, sprint­ed, putted, skied, chipped and bounced. In the end, the RBL Strik­ers emerged the win­ners and copped the cov­et­ed $10,000 prize for the char­i­ty of their choice-Liv­ing Wa­ters, Home for the Aged. Eleven com­mu­ni­ty groups com­pet­ed to win for their char­i­ty of choice, with the ma­jor­i­ty of them chal­leng­ing to ben­e­fit var­i­ous youth groups.

How­ev­er, the in­ter­ests of se­nior cit­i­zens, bat­tered women and abused chil­dren were al­so strong­ly rep­re­sent­ed with the col­lab­o­ra­tion of oth­er cor­po­rate spon­sors in­clud­ing Re­pub­lic Bank, the Min­istry of Works and In­fra­struc­ture, the Po­lice Ser­vice and the Siparia Re­gion­al Cor­po­ra­tion. Crick­et icons Bri­an Lara and Dar­ren Gan­ga were the sur­prise celebri­ty judges and were joined by spe­cial guests Min­is­ter of Trans­port Chan­dresh Shar­ma and Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment for Princes Town Nela Khan. The top three teams, RBL Strik­ers, JLD Fam­i­ly and MOWI, St Patrick, took away more than $50,000 in cash and prizes, while en­joy­ing a thrilling con­cert per­for­mance by Shur­wayne Win­ches­ter. The sec­ond clash took place on Sun­day at The Bar­rack­pore Recre­ation­al Ground in Bar­rack­pore.
