After two days of keen competition, Jason Wallace and Saul Joanni emerged the winners in this year's Chief Secretary's Charity Golf Tournament and were rewarded at a prize giving ceremony that took place on August 19, at the Magdalena Grand Beach Resort. Among the golfers who took part in a weekend of friendly sparring on the greens at the Tobago Plantations Golf course were former West Indies and national cricketers Ian Bishop and Deryck Murray, Chief Justice Ivor Archie and media personality Neil Guiseppi.
This year all proceeds from the tournament will go toward assisting little Seles Maria Ganderson, who has medical complications resulting from an operation to correct a brain tumour and needs a number of corrective surgeries. Hazel Douglas Digicel's Tobago Country manager said: "This year we are tremendously supportive of the charity of choice and look forward to seeing little Seles Granderson walk again in the very near future.
