The Rapidfire Kidz Foundation organised a field trip to the Emperor Valley Zoo for the pupils and staff of the Maracas Presbyterian School. All the foundation's members took a day off from their busy schedules to make the event possible. It was a day of glorious sunshine, as the children ran along the zoo's pathways, screaming in delight as they admired the various animals.
They were taken on a tour of the zoo, during which they were taught about the origins and habits of many of the animals. There was even a petting zoo, which allowed them to play with a live snake and a baby owl. President of the foundation, Kevin Ratiram, praised the pupils for the high level of discipline they exhibited throughout the day. "Despite their tender ages, they were extremely well-behaved and easy to manage. They were so polite and respectful. It was a pleasure spending the day with these kids," he said.
He went on to acknowledge that many "friends of the foundation" contributed to making it a resounding success. They include PTSC, Medical Associates, The Zoological Society, Hydraulic Components Ltd and Ultra Shipping and Chartering.
The Rapidfire Kidz Foundation is dedicated to helping the children of our nation by raising money throughout the year with a series of fun events-including fundraisers and projects-to help bring smiles to the faces of our nation's children.
