Chaguanas kids are ‘shining examples’

The Chaguanas Borough Corporation hosted a ceremony on October 23 for students who excelled in the 2012 SEA and CAPE examinations.
Education minister Dr Tim Gopeesingh and Chaguanas Mayor Orlando Nagessar addressed guests at the function. Gopeesingh said 2012 was a great year in education and spoke about the 372 scholarships that were awarded based on the CAPE exams in ten subject groups.
Of the two President’s Medals awarded this year, one went to Brad Bachu of Presentation College Chaguanas. The Education minister said the excellence achieved by the students are shining example to the nation.
