Psychologists, counsellors, EAP providers, medical professionals, psychology students and other individuals who work with trauma patients will get the opportunity to glean from the knowledge bank of Professor of Psychology at the University of Ottawa Paul G Swingle.
Hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Psychologists, Swingle will deliver a lecture in Trauma and Neurotherapy tomorrow at the School of Advanced Nursing Education at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex tomorrow, from 5 - 8.30 pm.
On December 15 he will explore the interaction between neurology and art in his lecture on Art and the Brain at 4 pm, in the Mary Louise Hall of the National Museum and Art Gallery, Port-of-Spain.
This lecture is specially intended for artists and people in the creative sector and is co-sponsored by the National Museum and Art Gallery, the UWI Department of Creative and Festival Arts, and the Trinidad and Tobago Art Society.
Dr Swingle is a recognised authority with more than 40 years experience in the development of clinical psychoneurophysiology and neuroregulation therapies. He is the director of the Swingle Clinic in Vancouver where the Precision
Neurometrics Division specialises in optimising performance of artists, elite athletes and senior executives. He has written several books, the most recent being Biofeedback for the Brain.
