Amer­i­can film star Ma­lik Yo­ba, more known for his tough guy roles, sur­prised the au­di­ence at To­ba­go Fash­ion Week­end when he re­vealed that he de­signed and sold hand­bags af­ter at­tend­ing the Fash­ion In­sti­tute in Tech­nol­o­gy in New York.

Yo­ba was one of the stars from the fash­ion world who con­verged on To­ba­go for one of the year's lead­ing events– the To­ba­go Fash­ion Week­end. A range of lo­cal, re­gion­al and in­ter­na­tion­al de­sign­ers par­tic­i­pat­ed in last week­end's event which was at­tend­ed by Cul­ture min­is­ter Lin­coln Dougas.
