Hilton joins pageant beauties in beach clean-up
Turtle-watching is the mission of most visitors to Matura Bay since that area is one of the prime locations for the nesting of, among others, the leatherback turtle.
Last Sunday, when delegates of the Miss T&T Universe pageant together with one of their sponsors, the Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre, visited the area, their main purpose was the removal of garbage left on the beach by visitors. For the Miss T&T Universe delegates, the beach clean-up exercise was also one of the competition’s elimination challenges.
It was, however, a community outreach exercise for the Blue Energy team of the Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre.
