The Christmas spirit came alive in South Oropouche when Digicel staff visited and brought some joy and love to the residents of the St Dorcas Senior Citizens Home.
Matron Marvalyn Bonas was presented with a stove, microwave and a television set donated by Digicel.
The company's staff led by project coordinator, Anjaana Downes also donated fun games and healthy snacks and spent quality time with residents.
The ladies were treated to manicures and pedicures by customer care agent Kadisha Prince who truly put smiles on their faces.
For the 11 residents, most of whom are bed-ridden, the hours spent with the volunteers were the most precious Christmas present that they could have received.
One emotional resident from Point Fortin thanked the volunteers for coming and added: "You are all good people.
"You came here to give us our Christmas present. We don't get many visitors so all I want to do is talk to you while you are here."
This week the Digicel staff will be visiting another senior citizens home in Longdenville.
