Police and Fire host Santa Cruz health fair
Togetherness is the theme of the day as the community of Santa Cruz gets together for a day of unity.
Officers of the Santa Cruz Police Station and Santa Cruz Fire Station, and the Santa Cruz Youth Club are coming together to host a mini walkathon and health fair on June 7, from 6 am to 6 pm, at the Brian Lara Recreational Grounds, Sam Boucaud, Santa Cruz.
The theme for this year’s event is Police and Fire Partnering with A purpose Together As One.
This fair is geared towards sensitising the Santa Cruz community and environs about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and also incorporated safety-related topics.
As such, the organisers intend to partner with several other organisations to have various educators host booth displays within the health, security and safety fields. The booths will also feature diet, fitness, various health tests and fun-filled activities.
The event is not only to educate but to engender healthy working relationships within the community and in so doing creating a unified environment for all.
