Inspired by the delicate, rural nature and vast wildlife of the African Safari, juxtaposed by the dynamic energy and throbbing urban vibrancy of the capital city, the Face of T&T 2014 presents the top ten finalists from the Safari Meets the City fashion editorial.
The Face of T&T competition was conceptualised and created by Kirk Thomas, an award-winning beauty professional who has worked with Nikki Minaj, Alison Hinds and The Tyra Banks Show. Thomas hopes to break barriers in highlighting the often understated importance and perceptions of beauty to the local fashion, entertainment and advertising industries.
The Face of T&T executive also includes award-winning photographer Gary Jordan, runway coach and stylist Nigel Celestine, event consultant Kristy Ramnarine and PR specialist Tenille Clarke.
With the slogan "Face the industry, Face the intensity, Face of T&T!" this project's central focus is on the face of contestants, and is geared towards exposing many faces of varying ages, ethnicities and lifestyles.
A release from the organisers said the show reveals the beauty industry's many layers by tapping into the diversity of T&T's women and their inspirational life stories. The final ten girls will prepare for an intense period of training and activities in the run up to the competition.
L'Oreal Paris-T&T was the true star on set with their incredible range of products: The True Match Powder, Blush, and Concealer was formulated with Precise Match giving an oil-free skin finish and incredible dimension to the natural shape and bone structure of the face.
The Face of T&T executive will formally present the top ten finalists at an exclusive media launch this evening from 7 pm at Stechers Fine Gift Stores, Long Circular Mall.
