Legacy will launch its Carnival 2015 presentation Reflections on Saturday with the unveiling of costume designs at Katalyst, Rust and Grey Streets, St Clair at 10.30 pm. Bandleader Michael "Big Mike" Antoine said this week: "Our perception of the world is shaped by what we see and what we see is a reflection of the sun's radiant energy which brings beauty and light to our lives.
"Reflections will explore and celebrate some of these fascinating images through sections such as Desert Mirage, Iridescence, Rainbow's End, Aura, Sunbeams, Lustre, Green Flash and Pink Angel Rays. In addition to offering Legacy's stunning signature designs, we will also pay tribute to the late great mas man George Bailey. This is a continuation of a trend started last year with Legacy's tribute to Brian MacFarlane which was very well-received."
Having captured the King of Carnival title in 2014 as well as third place Large Band of the Year, both at the Savannah and Downtown, Legacy is looking forward to greater things next year. Said Antoine: "We had a great time on the road in 2014 and for 2015, Legacy's focus will remain on providing our masqueraders with the perfect Carnival mix–stunning costumes, all the necessary amenities and a secure, warm and friendly atmosphere. These are the ingredients for a truly memorable Carnival."
