Designer Meiling launched her latest line called Collection 2015 on November 20 at Home in Scott Street, St Clair.
The collection was a collaboration with emerging knitwear designer, Aisling and also featured the works of fine jewelry designer Rachel Ross, and artist Christian Wainwright.
Collection 2015 is said to be an ode to menswear with a "borrowed from the boys" mantra that draws inspiration from the fashion of men but cut for the woman.
Collection 2015's designs are very minimalist, characterised by subtle details instilled by a softer interpretation of menswear. A dominantly navy palette is lifted with pops of chartreuse among the designs.
Collection 2015 features a range of shirts with unexpected openings both at the front and rear, highlighting the sensuality of the back, infused with a play on menswear's elements such as the collar and the cuff.
Meiling fashions something of an androgynous-erogenous connection in her designs. It reflects her philosophy that a woman can be and is even more seductive with strategic revelations of skin but never exposing too much. See Page B5
