Sports Minister Brent Sancho, president of the T&T Olympic Committee Brian Lewis and former West Indies fast bowler, and international cricket legend Sir Curtly Ambrose were among speakers at the opening ceremony of The Sports Desk Secondary Schools Leadership Symposium, themed "Think Big, Start Small," at the Cascadia Hotel and Conference Centre in St Ann's, on Monday.
Participants heard from Cleopatra Borel who spoke about inner beauty. Also featured was motivational speaker Don La Foucade.
Now in its 16th year, The Sports Desk, chaired by Valentino Singh, sports editor of the T&T Guardian, continues to be a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving and inspiring the lives of young people.
