Since its historical premiere in September 2014 at the T&T Film Festival at the Globe Cinema, Port-of-Spain, PAN! Our Music Odyssey has been screened over 25 times. Screening locations include Belize, Canada, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Jamaica, Venezuela, St Barts, UK, Italy, Johannesburg–South Africa, Amsterdam and Rotterdam in the Netherlands, Dominican Republic, and in the US, Washington, New York, Memphis, Denver and Louisville.
Upcoming screenings are scheduled for the Havana Film Festival Cuba this month and in 2016 at the Blow-Up Chicago International Arthouse Film Festival, the San Diego Black Film Festival and the Tiburon Film Festival California.
Director Jean Michel Gibert said: "We are proud to have been awarded the Most Outstanding Documentary Feature at the Reelworld Film Festival in Toronto, Canada and the S�lection Officielle for Feature Film at FEMI in Guadeloupe.
"The international press coverage has been impressive and we've been featured in the Washington Post, Huffington Post, Indiewire, Filmmaker Magazine, Caribbean Life, Maco People, Largeup.com, and Soca News, to name a few.
"We have not gotten one negative review thus far. Several televisions stations have broadcast the film as well, including France O in France, as well as premieres in Martinique, Guadeloupe, Guyane and La Reunion in the French Overseas."
Come January 23, 2016, PBS will release PAN! Our Music Odyssey to PBS world and close to 200 national TV networks through the Afropop show. This has been made possible through the efforts of NBPC/APT (National Black Programming Consortium/American Public Television).
The box set will be released in the US from that date with an on-air ad with the broadcast.
Later, in May 2016, the internationally-renowned jazz/world music label Harmonia Mundi of France will host a major live event in Paris and will release the PAN! Our Music Odyssey boxset. Espresso TV (UK) will distribute further in markets for TV and streaming in 2016.
