The Cascade Festival Ballet, the performing company of the Bentley Potter School of Dance, named for its studios in the heart of Cascade, brings to local audiences traditional classical ballet as well as varying styles of dance based on the classical technique.
The company was founded in 1996 by Caroline Potter Vilai, after her return from working in a ballet company in England. It aims to give local, talented dancers the opportunity to experience the working routine of a professional dance company and to inspire in them the dedication and single-mindedness of purpose necessary for such a challenge.
Be Enchanted!, the title of the Cascade Festival Ballet's 20th Anniversary production at Queen's Hall, is a celebration of the company's years of development in the classical ballet genre for which it has become known.
As always, beautiful music is the inspiration for all their performances, together with glamorous costumes and elegant stage sets.
"Several of our talented ex-members of the company are returning to dance with us in the show, and we are delighted to welcome them, as they have been such a special part of our growth into the company we have today," a release stated.
The event will be held on June 11 and 12 at Queen's Hall. Tickets will be available from the Queen's Hall Box Office from June 1.
