Horror and shock gripped Tobago as the bodies of a 71-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl were unearthed mere metres from their Harmony Hall home. Police believe they were assaulted, murdered and their bodies dumped. A 24-year-old man, said to be a neighbour of the victims, was detained. Around 10am a passerby picked up a stench and decided to follow the trail.
After wandering through the bushy area, he stumbled upon the decomposing body of a woman. Not too far away, lay the skeletal remains of a child. Police believe the decomposing remains belong to Gloria Quashie, originally from San Fernando. Investigators believe the skeletal remains belong to missing Mason Hall Secondary School student Peaches Sebro. The 12-year-old who also lived at Harmony Hall disappeared in August. Investigations are continuing. (ML)
