Works and Transport Minister and UNC chairman Jack Warner has extended best wishes and a speedy recovery to Opposition Leader Dr Keith Rowley, who underwent surgery for a blocked sinus recently. In a release yesterday, Warner said while Rowley would not be attending Parliament for the next two weeks in order to recover from the surgery, regardless of how minor, he hoped that his post surgery recuperation would not cause any substantial physical or emotional strain and stress.
"We anticipate a comfortable and successful convalescence. We are also very expectant that the period of his recovery would not be a long one and that Dr Rowley can quickly resume his duties as Opposition Leader and Political Leader of the People's National Movement." Describing Rowley as one of the most experienced members of Parliament, Warner said the Diego Martin West MP's contribution to debate has always been treated with the respect and value, befitting a politician with such vast experience.
