Min­is­ter in the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion Clifton de Coteau says all ef­forts are be­ing made for the re­open­ing of the Mor­vant/Laven­tille Sec­ondary School on Jan­u­ary 3. De Coteau vis­it­ed the school yes­ter­day morn­ing to en­sure all arrange­ments are made to guar­an­tee a safe and se­cure re­turn of stu­dents, teach­ers and staff to the school com­pound.

"We are work­ing close­ly with the Min­istry of Works and Trans­port to cor­rect the drainage sit­u­a­tion next to the school," he said. "We al­so are work­ing with the Trinidad and To­ba­go Sol­id Waste Man­age­ment Co Ltd to pre­vent the sew­er­age from com­ing un­der the school com­pound."
