A 47-year-old man accused of wounding his ten-year-old stepson and attempting to murder his common-law wife was granted $90,000 bail yesterday.
Roland Julian, 47, appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Mark Wellington in the San Fernando First Court, charged with malicious wounding and attempted murder. The offences allegedly took place on December 12 at Julian's home at Seelal Avenue, Claxton Bay. It is alleged that his common-law wife Betty James was beaten on the head with a gas tank and stabbed in the chest.
Her son was allegedly pushed into a glass case, resulting in his head smashing the glass. He also received a wound to the foot. Julian's attorney Debra James made an application for bail. The matter was adjourned to December 28. (SW)
