The search for Donna Maraj, who has been missing for almost four weeks, continued yesterday when police officers searched houses in Arima and environs. Maraj, 35, of Rodney Street, Las Lomas No 2, was last seen on December 1 when she dropped off her nine-year-old son in Arima. Her burnt Lancer motor car, PBF 8069, was found off an access road south of the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway, Aranguez, two weeks ago.
Police previously received tip-offs that Maraj was at Laventille Road, San Juan and even as far as Morne La Croix in Blanchisseuse. Those searches were futile. Police also carried out searches in Maloney, Arima and Arouca. Officers of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit and Homicide Bureau are continuing investigations.
